Tip: Improve Your Body’s Response To Training
Want an easy way to improve your training results?
Start adding 20-30 minutes of walking once or twice a week.
In performance training there is a style of training called cardiac output training. Here, we are trying to improve the size of the left ventricle of the heart. By improving the size, we increase the volume of blood delivered on each contraction.
Increased blood flow will help with recovery during and after your training sessions
Better recovery = Improved Results
Additionally, with more blood pumped per beat, we will improve how much oxygen is making its way to your muscles while training. This will allow you to go longer and harder in each session improving your work output.
More potential work = Improved Results
So if you are interested in getting faster results and more out of your sessions, go take a walk a few times a week. For those who can, try to track your heart rate and keep it around 120-130 beats per minute.
